Rev. Parks joins staff at Troutman Funeral Home

Rev. John C. Parks has joined the staff at Troutman Funeral Home.

A former pastor at East Side Baptist Church in Statesville, Parks previously served as funeral director at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva and as a funeral assistant at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville.

“He will make a great addition to our team and is already serving in many capacities in our community,” said William Troutman, owner of Troutman Funeral Home.

Parks, a graduate of Liberty University, earned his funeral director license from Fayetteville Community College in 2021. He followed in the footsteps of his father, the late Rev. J.C. Parks, by pastoring at Eastside Baptist for 15 years.

“I was born and raised in Statesville, and now I have the opportunity to serve the families of Iredell County,” Parks said.
