Statesville Small Business Saturday

When: Saturday, November 30, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville
Details: With more than 50 unique shops, boutiques and restaurants throughout the downtown district, you are sure to find something for everyone on your list this year. Stop in at our Welcome Station to check in and receive Shop Small giveaways. Make a purchase at any participating business and enter a drawing for a $500 Downtown Shopping Spree.


American Red Cross Blood Drive

Cowboy Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade

When: Saturday, November 30, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Love Valley
Details: Bring the entire family out for some Old Fashioned family fun. Make ornaments, have a smore by the fire with a cup of Hot Cocoa, write a letter to Santa while listening to Christmas carols. There will be a parade of horses with Santa and prizes given for best dressed horses. Line-up begins at 5 p.m. for those interested in participating.


Statesville Christmas Tree Lighting

When: Saturday, November 30, 6 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville, Center Street, Statesville
Details: Bring a toy for the City of Statesville Toy Drive, enjoy classic holiday songs sung by Eufola Baptist Church, and watch in delight as Santa helps light the Christmas tree. The Christmas tree will be located at the corner of South Center Street and Court Street.


Community Messiah

When: Sunday, December 1, 3 to 5 p.m.
Where: First Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Meeting Street, Statesville
Details: The Christmas portion of Handel’s beloved oratorio will be directed by Melody Beaty, performed by local area chorus members, and will feature some Mitchell faculty and alumni as soloists. Jingle Run 5K

Where: Iredell County Parks & Recreation, 123 Grannis Lane, Statesville
Details: This event is free and open to the public but participants are asked to register online at www.eventbrite.com


7th Annual LKNO Holiday Gala

When: Sunday, December 1, 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Langtree Plantation, 554 Langtree Road, Mooresville
Details: Join Maestro Eduardo Cedeño as he ushers in the holiday season with the Lake Norman Orchestra. The festivities will be hosted at the fabulous Langtree Plantation, featuring a holiday concert and catered dinner.
