Sheriff Darren Campbell recently welcomed three new patrol deputies to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office:

Deputy Christian LeVan graduated from North Iredell High School in 2015. He then attended and graduated from Appalachian State University in 2019 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology.

LeVan graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training at Mitchell Community College in 2019.

Deputy Johnathan Shumaker graduated from South Iredell High School in 2014. He has been a volunteer firefighter with the Cool Springs Volunteer Fire Department for the last four years.

Shumaker graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training at Mitchell Community College in 2019.

Deputy Megan Chapman graduated from Alexander Central High School in 2008. She then attended and graduated from Winthrop University in 2012 with a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Coaching. She coached collegiate softball at Valley City State University in North Dakota, Pfeiffer University and Elizabeth State University.

Chapman graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training at Mitchell Community College in 2019.
