The 3rd Annual Girls on the Run of the Greater Piedmont Sneaker Soiree is scheduled for Friday, September 25, at 7 p.m. A virtual event is planned for this year to keep the nonprofit’s donors, staff, and volunteers safe and unexposed. It’s completely online and all donations directly supports the organization’s mission.
The annual event will bring together an incredible community of supporters for an impactful evening filled with motivating speakers, our GOTR community and a stellar line up of auction items.
Over the past 12 years, Girls on the Run has served more than 9,000 girls in our community. Funds raised at the Sneaker Soiree will ensure the organization can continue to give girls a place to depend on for connectedness, acceptance, and belonging despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this year’s event, the 2020 recipient of The Rhylee Fielding Memorial Scholarship will be honored and she will share how Girls on the Run impacted her as a young girl.
Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run International, will also share an inspirational message.
