EnergyUnited encourages all eligible high school seniors to submit their applications early for the co-op’s Empowering the Future scholarship program. Any student who applies before March 2 will be entered in a drawing for a chance to receive a $100 Visa gift card from EnergyUnited.

“Each year, we receive so many great applications for Empowering the Future,” said Maureen Moore, communications manager. “We will be processing applications from now through our March 31 deadline, but we really want to encourage students to apply earlier to optimize our review process this year.”

To be eligible for the scholarship program, students must live in a residence that is serviced by EnergyUnited or attend a school that is serviced by EnergyUnited. Applicants should be planning to attend an accredited college, university or a technical school. Applications and supplemental documents, which include two recommendation letters and responses to two essay questions, must be received by no later than March 31, 2020.
