Father-Daughter Dance

When: Friday, February 21, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Statesville Family YMCA, 828 Wesley Drive, Statesville
Details: The Daddy and Daughter Dance is an evening to celebrate the special relationship between a dad and his daughter/daughters! The dance is for girls of all ages. It is an evening filled with
dressing up, fun and memory making with their dads or another significant man in their lives.

Statesville Family Movie Night

When: Friday, February 21, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Christ Church, Statesville, 2172 Wilkesboro Highway, Statesville
Details: You can take the theatre out of Statesville but you can’t take the movies. Christ Church is offering a free family movie night to serve our city. The first 200 people get free popcorn and drink so come early. Doors open at 6 p.m. Bring your own candy from dollar tree because you all already do that at the real movies anyways. Open to all ages.


Music with Matt Stratford Band

When: Friday, February 21, 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: Davesté Vineyards, 155 Lytton Farm Road, Troutman
Details: The Matt Stratford Band provides a collection of music with genres including pop, rock, dance, country and Motown. No cover charge. Wine, craft beer and a variety of sodas will be available for purchase. Picnic baskets and crock pots are allowed.


Dollar Day at Iredell Museums

When: Saturday, February 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Iredell Museums, 134 Court Street, Statesville
Details: Enjoy all the regular displays at the museums for only $1. Open to all.


Polar Bear Plunge + 4-Mile Ruck

When: Saturday, February 22, 12 noon
Where: Stumpy Creek Park, 160 Stumpy Creek Road, Mooresville
Details: We’ll take the “plunge” from the boat landing (ankle or knee deep for the kiddos – or anyone else). Everyone will have a chance to change socks and shoes. Then there will be some light PT to warm up and will be followed by a 4-mile ruck, making a couple of loops around the entire park. Please park at the boat landing. Bring dry shoes and socks to change into.


Music at the Vineyard

Details: Saturday Afternoon of Music at the Vineyard presents Walter Finley Music featuring April Dawn. They bring a variety of music including American Country and Pop. No cover charge. Wine, craft beer and a variety of sodas available for purchase.


Rockie Lynne – Rockin The Twisted Oak, Part 2

Mazeppa Park Community Workday

When: Sunday, February 23, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Mazeppa Park, 645 Mazeppa Road, Mooresville
Details: Meet at the at Mazeppa Park for our first Community workday on the Mazeppa Park trails. Trail work will start at 8:30 a.m. so arrive accordingly. Bring gloves, water, and a snack. Tools will be provided. There will be a door prize to one lucky volunteer from the workday. There will be a cookout promptly at 1 p.m.
