The ICSO opened an investigation in June after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.

The cybertip included information about an individual who was possibly in possession of child pornography, Campbell said. The case was assigned to Detective Sgt. Jason Lowrance, who is assigned to the ICSO Special Victim’s Unit.

Lowrance obtained several search warrants related to this investigation. Based on the evidence obtained through the investigation, he also obtained warrants for the arrest of Christopher Allen Miller, 31, of 139 Strawberry Lane in northern Iredell County.

Miller was arrested and charged with six counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Magistrate Watkins issued a $50,000 secured bond on these charges.

According to the ICSO, Miller’s criminal history includes a felony second-degree kidnapping charge.
