Iredell County firefighters drove by Davis Regional Medical Center on Tuesday as a show of support for hospital personnel for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Davis Regional CEO Josh Snow said the parade was the latest in a series of gestures from small businesses, nonprofits and individuals who have expressed their appreciation for the hospital’s employees who are on the frontlines in recent weeks.

“As a leader of a major healthcare provider in this community, it’s very humbling and makes it all worthwhile — and I speak for all my employees and the medical staff when I say that. It’s just gratifying to see the community come together and united at this time.”
