The City of Statesville is finishing up the process to update The 2045 Statesville Land Development Plan.
The plan was last updated in 2004. The public-driven process included a round of public engagement in 2020 and numerous meetings with the Land Development Team.
The Draft Plan is now ready to review. The Statesville 2045 Land Development Plan Open House will be held at the Statesville Civic Center on Tuesday, August 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Civic Center is located at 300 S Center Street.
Plan highlights and the entire Public Review Draft will be available to view and comment on at the Open House and through an online survey. Community input will be used to prepare a final public hearing draft to share with the City’s leaders.
The Land Development Plan provides a vision for the City and the updated Plan has been tailored for the City’s long-term opportunities and regional economic and market trends. The Plan’s strategic approach will guide land development through clear goals and implementable actions. Following adoption of the new plan, the goals and strategies will be incorporated into current City codes and ordinances.
In addition to the public Open House, an online opportunity to provide feedback will be available August 10-22. You can leave feedback in person at the open house or online at https://bit.ly/SLDP2045
