Only a handful of Iredell-Statesville Schools schools had to deal with COVID-19 related issues when students returned to school after spring break.
Disrict officials reported only one positive COVID-19 test for school personnel and six cases involving students during the week of March 15-18.
Twenty-two staff members were forced to isolate or quarantine due to exposure, along with 190 students. Those numbers are a fraction of what they were in January and February.
I-SS officials reported zero cases of secondary spread of COVID-19 in schools during the reporting period.
