The Community Bluegrass Jam spring series kicked off Monday evening at its new location at Troutman’s ESC Park. Community members were invited to bring their instruments and come play along, raise their voices to sing along, or just listen and enjoy.

Troutman Chair provided some of its iconic rockers so that folks could enjoy toe-tapping and rocking to bluegrass and gospel standards by some of the area’s most talented local musicians under the pavilion.

The Monday evening series continues on April 26, May 10, and May 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. The new location provides plenty of room in the grass to spread out and social distance.

Attendees are invited to bring a picnic or enjoy dinner from the food truck at each event. Wilsons Weenie Wagon & Catering was on hand Monday night. The food truck for the April 26 event will be announced on Facebook.

If the weather forces cancellation, the Troutman Parks and Recreation Department will update event information on its Facebook page.
