Three suspects face felony charges following a search effort involving multiple agencies that began after Mooresville police officers search that began with a vehicle pursuit early Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the Pecan Hills subdivision about 1:20 a.m. Monday in response to a call about vehicles being broken into, according to an MPD news release. 

After arriving in the area, officers observed three suspects fleeing in a 2018 blue Hyundai Elantra that had been reported stolen, police said.

The suspects were briefly pursued by MPD officers, but two two of the three suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area, according to the news release.

At the conclusion of a five-hour land search by MPD Patrol Division officers and Special Response Team members, the two suspects were taken into custody without incident, police said.

Mooresville Fire-Rescue provided drone support for the search. K9 and manpower assistance were provided by the N.C. Highway Patrol, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office and Statesville Police Department.

Chaunquarius Tyreiq Robinson, 25, of Charlotte was charged with six counts of felony Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle, felony Possess Stolen Motor Vehicle, felony Flee/Elude Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, and misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. Robinson received a $90,000 secured bond.

Altoninal Danglo Jackson, 21, of Charlotte was charged with six counts of felony Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle and misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. Jackson received a $55,000 secured bond.

Ke’Andre Terell Moore, 19, of Charlotte was charged with six counts of felony Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle and misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. Moore was also served with outstanding warrants for felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and felony Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Moore received a $50,000 secured bond on the Iredell County charges and a $150,000 secured bond on the outstanding warrants issued out of Mecklenburg County.
