♦ Troutman Christmas Parade. Parade starts at Career Academy and Technical School (350 Old Murdock Road) and travels along Eastway Drive before ending at Troutman Baptist Church (305 Perry Road). 11 a.m.

♦ Living History Day at Gregory Creek Homestead. Located at 1335 Museum Road, Statesville. Learn about 18th century life with live demonstrations of hearth cooking, music, crafts, and other seasonal activities. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

♦ Photos with Santa and Indoor Shop ‘N Stroll at Rescue Ranch. Located at 1424 Turnersburg Hwy., Statesville. Admission costs $50 and includes a family photo with Santa. Reservations required for photos. For those who don’t want a photo, admission is $5 per person. 12 to 6 p.m.

♦ Iredell COAST Whooville Celebration featuring the Grinch at the Statesville Civic Center, located at 300 S. Center Street. Shop with vendors beginning at 4 p.m. Then grab some popcorn and a hot dog and get settled for ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ featuring Jim Carrey at 6 p.m.

♦ Town of Harmony Christmas Parade. Parade runs from Harmony Elementary School to Rosewood Assisted Living. 2 p.m.


♦ Mitchell Community Band Concert. Shearer Hall, located at 500 W. Broad St., Statesville. 7:30 p.m.

♦ Mitchell Community Chorus Concert. Shearer Hall, located at 500 W. Broad Street, Statesville. 7:30 p.m.

♦ Greensboro Symphony Orchestra: Holiday Pops Concert. Statesville Civic Center. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance at Civic Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concert begins at 7:30.

♦ Classic Christmas in Mooresville. Head Downtown for wagon rides; visits with Santa; Victorian carolers; a synthetic ice-skating rink; two life-sized snow globes; hot cocoa, sweets & treats; an animated projected light show. 6 to 9 p.m.

♦ Downtown Statesville Shop & Stroll. Enjoy a fun evening of merchant open houses, take a festive trolley ride, stroll the sidewalks, and enjoy the sparkle of holiday lights. 6 to 8 p.m.

♦ 30th Masonic District Annual Statesville Christmas Parade. Downtown Statesville. 3 p.m.
