FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Circle of Giving recently presented the proceeds of its Winter White Gala to two local nonprofits.
Representatives of Purple Heart Homes and A Servants Heart for all People accepted checks for $4,500.

Purple Heart Homes, which was founded in 2008 by veterans John Gallina and Dale Beatty, provides housing solutions for disabled and aging veterans.

A Servants for all People supports local youth, single parents, and senior citizens. The nonprofit dedicates its time and resources to supporting the community.

Synetta Raye, founder of the Circle of Giving, said the recipients were nominated and chosen by members of Circle of Giving. She expressed her support for sponsors of the Winter White Gala and everyone who attended the event at the Statesville Civic Center.

“All the hard work and support from the community and members made it happen,” Raye said.
