The Circle of Giving will present its fifth annual “Gospel’s Finest Singing Competition” on Sunday, April 30.

Gospel music will fill Statesville High School’s Mac Gray Auditorium starting at 4 p.m.

Eight performers will compete: Tamra Sheller, Leslie Allen, Thea “G,” Champale Parks, Shaun Carlton, Ebony Young, Daniene Chanel and Genetta Twinkyy Dobbins. A live band, Envision, and backup singers SaCred will also perform.

Organizer Felina Harris said the event is for a wonderful cause.

“It’s a community service event,” she said. “We will disburse the proceeds to high school seniors for college scholarships.”

Circle of Giving has held the fundraiser since 2017, taking a hiatus during 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19.

Elite Catering and M’s Heavenly Desserts will have food available for purchase.
