The Student Government Association of Mitchell Community College will present a Cars on Campus fundraising event at Mitchell’s Workforce Development Center campus location at 701 W. Front Street, Statesville, on Saturday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The student-led car show will raise funds via car show entry fees and other event proceeds to benefit My Sister’s House and American Legion Post 65.

Cars of any type, make, or model can enter the car show for $20. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni can enter for $15. Fees are collected the day of the event with cash preferred.

The car show will occur in conjunction with Mitchell’s celebration of 50 years as a community college featuring music, food, a raffle, vendors, program displays and open workforce labs.

Trophies made from various car parts and constructed by Mitchell students will be awarded in the following categories:
• Best Modification;
• Best Interior;
• Best Paint Job; and
• SGA Choice

This event is open to students, faculty and staff, alumni, and the public.
