A Mooresville man faces felony drug and weapons charges following an investigation by the Mooresville Police Department.

The MPD announced the arrest of Tyler Cayse Moore, 26, in a news release Thursday.

Detectives began a narcotics investigation after receiving complaints of illegal drug activity in the area of The Osprey at Lake Norman Apartments, according to the news release.

After a month-long investigation, detectives obtain a search warrant for the apartment at 133-304 Langtree Shore Drive.

Detectives executed the search warrant on February 14 and seized over 21 pounds of marijuana, which included THC Vape cartridges, TCH resin, and THC edibles, along with two handguns—one of which had been reported as being stolen—and $4,000 cash, police said.

Moore, who lives at the apartment, was arrested on February 22 and charged with felony trafficking marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep, sell, or use a controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession of a stolen firearm and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moore was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
