Gordon and Barbra Bryan, owners of The Goddard School of Mooresville, were recently presented the Schumacher Resiliency Award at the 2023 Goddard School Franchisee Convention in Carlsbad, Calif.

This award is named after former Goddard executives Joseph and Phil Schumacher for their trailblazing leadership and dedication to the Goddard School system. It honors a franchisee with a 10-plus year tenure who use their capabilities to foresee, plan for, act on and adjust to incremental change or challenges to endure and thrive.

The Bryans purchased their school in 2008 right before the economic collapse. After persevering through initial challenges, they did everything they could to support their school and community, such as taking early childhood education classes to further their knowledge of the industry. Today, their school is full and they are in the process of building a new location to accommodate even more students.

“Winning this award means so much to us because it recognizes how resilient our Mooresville Goddard team has been throughout the years,” said Barbra Bryan. “We are thrilled to be recognized and look forward to many more years of providing high quality childcare to the Mooresville community.”
