The Iredell-Statesville Schools Elementary Honors Chorus featured fifth-grade students from all over the county.

Music teachers at all of the participating schools prepared their students at their home schools before the event. All of the students gathered together as a choir for the first time on Friday, April 28. They rehearsed all day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then returned the next day for a quick rehearsal before putting on a concert at 11am.

South Iredell High School hosted the event which, featured Patrick Shell from the Piedmont Youth Chorus (https://www.piedmontopera.org/pyc) and their Accompanist Mrs.Susan Orgain.

The students performed several tunes including “Kusimama,” “Shenandoah,” “I Feel Like Flying,” “Animal Imagination” and “Be the Change.”
