Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell on Tuesday announced the arrest of 25 suspects facing felony drug charges as a result of ongoing narcotics investigations
The suspects were directly involved in the sale of or facilitation of the sale of narcotics to an undercover investigator between early January and early March, Campbell said.
“We will continue to investigate all information and tips from the public and from our deputies about drug-related criminal activity,” the sheriff said. “To continue having our overall crime rate fall we must keep a hard stance on drug dealers in our community.”
The majority of these suspects have significant criminal histories, Campbell said. Five of the suspects were on probation at the time of their arrest on charges related to drug, larceny and assault convictions. Three are verified gang members.
