C.R. Onsrud, manufacturer of American-made CNC machining centers, brought together its CNC manufacturing team, CNC vendors, and over 200 prospective customers and distributors for a Demo Day on May 9.

Visitors got a chance to tour the Troutman factory while production was in full swing and also had a sneak peek at the company’s new 67,000-square-foot addition. Included were live, up close demonstrations of a 5-axis machine carving a boat center console, a 3-axis machine with routing and sawing capabilities, and CNC machines demonstrating their versatility by processing wood, aluminum, and plastic. The company also showcased its X-Series, specially engineered for aluminum linear profile extrusions, which captured the attention of the metalworking crowd.

C.R. Onsrud also sponsored educational seminars about their latest technologies. The company’s CNC experts were accessible throughout the day to talk about ways to streamline production and to field any questions. Attendees also had the opportunity to speak to third-party CNC automation and tooling vendors.

“It’s a lot of fun for us and a great networking opportunity for all of us in the manufacturing community,” said Thomas Tuck, a regional sales manager. “We get to hear about challenges manufacturers are facing in different industries and discuss solutions together.”
