For over 15 years, Haunted Statesville has presented ghost walks designed to offer a distinctly memorable experience.
Participants will learn the true haunted history of the city, where tales of spirits, ominous creatures, mysterious deaths, and eerie alleyways come to life. The Sharpe House Historic Players will lead this captivating journey into the spirit world on certain nights this fall with new stories to share.
Haunted Statesville weaves together the finest eerie tales, legends, and ghost lore from our town, bringing them to life through the voices of our community’s most skilled storytellers. This unique experience goes beyond a mere recitation of dates, names, and facts. Instead, it invites you to stroll through Downtown past these locations where the stories are said to have unfolded.
The Haunted Statesville Ghost Tours are offered the fourth Saturday from March through September. Tours will be held on March 23, April 27, May 25, June 29, July 27, August 24, September 28. Tours will begin at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
In October, tours will be held on October 18, 19, 25 & 26. Tours will start at 6:30, 7, 7:30, and 8 p.m.
Each tour takes about 60 to 75 minutes. Ticket holders will receive information on starting location prior to the tour. Each tour is limited to 20 people. Guides will have flashlights; guests may bring small flashlights.
This is a guided walking tour covering a number of blocks throughout the downtown area. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate to outdoor weather. No coolers or alcoholic beverages will be permitted.

Tickets are $15 per person. Tours are limited to 25 people per tour and advance registration/tickets are required. Purchase tickets online at https://www.downtownstatesville.com/ghosttours.
Tour is recommended for everyone ages 8 years and older. Some stops are not easily stroller/wheelchair accessible. In case of inclement weather, tour dates will be rescheduled. No refunds

Organizers are seeking enthusiastic individuals to audition for the opportunity to lead these captivating tours. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Historic Sharpe House located at 402 South Center Street in Statesville. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the rich history and spine-tingling legends of our city, while providing guests with an unforgettable adventure.
