The Inner Wheel Club of Statesville is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Inner Wheel organization.

It was formed in Manchester, England, on January 10, 1924. Wives of Rotary Club members whose husbands were away during World War I continued the service activities of the Rotary Club. After the war the women decided to form their own organization.

The Inner Wheel Club of Statesville continues this tradition of service by identifying needs within the community. In the past year, the organization has supported Northview Academy, Power Cross, Cloverleaf Elementary School, and the Boys & Girls Club. The Inner Wheel Club of Statesville annually creates seasonal baskets, which are raffled at Rotary Club meetings to support its projects.

From September to May the Club meets for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at Pasta Amore in Statesville. Visitors and Inner Wheel members who have relocated to the area are welcome.
