The Evening Exchange Club of Lake Norman is partnering with The Troutman Exchange Club to host the second annual Walk of Heroes in Downtown Troutman.

On Friday, May 17, club members and community volunteers will meet at Troutman Town Hall to assemble and install 250 full-size American flags and lights along the Richardson Greenway. The flags will be on display from Armed Forces Day (May 18) through Memorial Day (May 27) in honor of all veterans.

The flags may be purchased in honor or memory of a veteran. Each flag will have a tag displaying the name of the honoree and their branch of service.

On Memorial Day, May 27, a ceremony will be held in Troutman’s ESC Park to pay tribute to the veterans who have served our country.

Following the ceremony, purchasers will be able to take their flags home to fly proudly in their yards.
