Mack Molding, a leading custom plastics molder and supplier of contract manufacturing services, announced that the Company’s Statesville facility crossed a significant safety milestone on March 24, reaching 1,000 days without a lost-time accident.

“This achievement has literally been years in the making,” said Mack South President Bryan Campbell. “The fact that when the clock started ticking on our 1,000 days we were still in the throes of COVID illustrates the type of commitment it takes to get here.

“We have a great leadership team that has improved near-miss reporting in an effort to prevent future injuries, but most of all we have a safety-first consciousness that permeates our workforce,” he added.

According to Campbell, the accomplishment comes almost three years to the day from the site’s previous record of 930 days set on March 26, 2021. He said a surprise is in the works to celebrate the facility’s feat.

“A plant doesn’t achieve a safety record like this unless everyone is all-in,” added Statesville Plant Manager Kyle Teeter. “From the members of our safety team, who keep safety at the forefront of our minds, to our co-workers always looking out for each other, we got here together.”
