The Mooresville Police Department will hold its semi-annual free shredding event on Saturday, April 27.

The event is set for 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the MPD public parking lot at 2847 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville.

The public is encouraged to bring no-longer-needed documents or records containing personal information such as bank statements or tax documents for secure disposal. Proper disposal of documents containing personal information may help prevent individuals falling victim to identity theft.

The event will be held rain or shine, and there is no cost for the shredding service.
