Performing Arts Live Iredell welcomes the acclaimed Fry Street Quartet for the fourth concert of the 2023-2024 season.

The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on March 9 at Mac Gray Auditorium on the campus of Statesville High School.

This group has been hailed as “a triumph of ensemble playing” by the New York Times. Reaching audiences from Carnegie Hall to London, Shanghai and beyond, the Fry Street Quartet tour repertoire includes works of Schubert, Beethoven and Bartok, as well as exciting music from visionary modern composers.

The Fry Street Quartet, formed in 1997 is now in its 20th year of an endowed residency at the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University, where each member teaches when the group is not touring.

The group’s first residency was sponsored by Chamber Music International and the National Endowment for the Arts in Hickory. During that time, the Fry Street Quartet won competitions and built a local following. They proudly continues this residency today, supported entirely by the Hickory community.
