Renowned artist Tony Griffin will demonstrate his drawing techniques in a live demonstration at the Iredell Arts Council on Wednesday, January 10.

During the demonstration, which begins at 6:30 p.m., Griffin will discuss materials and talk his way through the drawing process with a live model.

Students and collectors of art, friends and curious neighbors will love this event, which is free and open to the public.

Griffin is a classically trained artist. Originally from North Carolina, he has traveled to Florence, Italy, and beyond. He now makes his home in Statesville.

Refreshments and conversation included in this fun night in the Old Jail, which is located at 203 S. Meeting Street in Statesville.

“We’re thankful for Tony’s willingness to share his talent and invite the community to come and observe, enjoy refreshments and engage in questions and conversation,” the Arts Council said in a news release.
