The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday announced the arrests of 19 suspects on a variety of drugs charges.

The arrests, which occurred over the last four months, are the result of an ongoing investigation, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.

All 19 of the suspects sold illegal drugs to an undercover investigator, Campbell said. Five of the suspects, including one registered sex offender, have faced similar charges in the past and are on currently on active probation.

The sheriff said the ICSO will continue its efforts to enforce drug laws and target individuals involved in “the criminal activities surrounding those persons choosing to engage in this unlawful behavior.”

“If you sell drugs in Iredell County, we will find you, and you will be arrested,” Campbell said. “If you suspect that a career and repeat offender is creating a problem in your community, please reach out to us. You can easily do this by downloading the Iredell County Sheriff App and submitting a tip. Deputies will quickly address these concerns to decrease the crime rate continuously.”
