The Statesville Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshal’s Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, executed a successful operation targeting individuals involved in drug dealing within the City of Statesville.

This joint effort resulted in the arrest of several individuals wanted for various drug-related crimes. The following individuals have been apprehended and charged:

♦ Billy Terrille McLendon – Arrested on March 30 by Statesville Police. Charges include Sell/Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine, and Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine. McLendon received a $10,000 secured bond.

Quinton Shaquille Lipscomb – Arrested on April 2 by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Charged with Sell/Deliver Cocaine and Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine. Lipscomb received a $4,500 secured bond.

Beatriz Elena Brenes – Arrested on March 26 by Statesville Police. Charged with Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Sell/Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance. Brenes received a $10,000 secured bond.

David Paul Merritt – Arrested on March 26 by Statesville Police. Charged with Trafficking in Meth by Sell/Deliver, Trafficking in Meth by Possession, and Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine. Merritt received a $215,000 secured bond.

Travis Donnell Knox – Arrested on March 26 by the U.S. Marshal’s Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force. Charged with Misdemeanor Probation Violation and Federal Probation Violation. Knox received a $10,000 secured bond and was held on a Federal Detainer.

Malcolm Ensley – Arrested on March 27 by Statesville Police. Charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Ensley received a $50,000 secured bond.

Additionally, the Statesville Police Department Narcotics Division continues to pursue the following individuals with active warrants:

♦ Alicia Mae Wellington – Wanted for Sell/Deliver Cocaine (2 counts) and Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine (2 counts).

♦ Tami Renae Ruiz – Wanted for Obtain Property by False Pretense.

♦ Rasheed Malik-Houston Degree – Wanted for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

♦ Chad Adam Langley – Wanted for Sell/Deliver Marijuana.

Additionally, the SPD thanked the community for providing crucial information that facilitated the identification, investigation, and charging of these individuals.
