A Statesville man faces 10 felony charges related to the possession of child exploitation material following a multi-agency investigation.

The Statesville Police Department announced the arrest of Joshua Adam Lane, 39, of Clegg Street, Statesville, in a news release.

On Tuesday, April 9, SPD officers and N.C. State Bureau of Investigation personnel executed a search warrant at Lane’s residence as past of an an ongoing investigation into child pornography, police said.

During the operation, Lane was apprehended and taken into custody for 10 outstanding warrants for third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. These charges were a result of an investigation led by the SBI.

Additional evidence was seized from the residence, and additional charges may follow at the conclusion of the investigation, police said.

Lane was previously out on bond for second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in 2022. A magistrate issued a $100,000.00 secured bond for the new charges.
