Special to Iredell Free News

The January meeting of the General Federation of  the Woman’s Club’s was sponsored by the Arts and Culture Community Service Team. It was a fun gathering featured a creative, hands-on craft using water coloring. A friendly competition was also held for the best artwork with winners Andrea Gilbert and Beth Webb being presented with a small prize.

The project focus for January and continuing into February will be a food drive. Please plan to bring canned goods to the clubhouse. Items will be donated to the local food pantry at Yokefellow Ministry.

The Education and Environment Community Service Team is currently collecting used natural wine corks to help conserve forests and oceans. For every natural wine cork our club sends to the CorkClub initiative funded by WidgetCo Inc., they will donate two cents to forest and ocean conservation. Please give your corks to any club member or contact the club.
