Ms. Teresa Faye Setzer, 62, of Cleveland, Ohio, was born in Iredell County, N.C., on March 15, 1962, and was the daughter of the late Wilbur LaFayette Setzer and Maggie Lorene Shuford Setzer. She departed this life on Thursday, May 15, 2024, at Justin T. Rogers Hospice in Cleveland, Ohio.
“Bookie,” as she was affectionately called, was a 1980 graduate of Statesville High School, received her Bachelors of Arts at Livingstone College and her Master’s of Education Degree from Cambridge University.
Left to remember and celebrate her life are two sisters, Chrystal Pass and Trinetta “Nettie” Setzer (Sly); three brothers, Calvin Setzer, Keith Setzer (Christina ), and Tyrale Setzer; two uncles, Nathaniel Shuford and Furman Mott; one aunt, Linda Hammons; and a host of special nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary is serving the Setzer family.
My heartfelt condolences to Teresa’s family. She and my mom had a loving relationship and I was saddened to hear she was in Hospice. She is home now with my parents and her parents, siblings. Rest in Heaven, sis.
