Pharos Parenting will host its fourth annual Rockin’ for a Reason benefit concert at Chickadee Hill Farms on Thursday, April 11.

This ticketed event, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature food trucks and Bushcraft BBQ, and a cash bar with beer and wine available. Advance tickets are $25 and are available through April 10 at pharosparenting.org. Tickets can be purchased at the gate on April 11 for $30 with cash or card.

Last year’s concert raised nearly $20,000 to support child abuse prevention and parent education in Iredell and surrounding counties. With community support and generous sponsorships, Pharos hopes to raise $25,000 this year.

Two local food trucks, Foxy Roxy’s Pizza and Bushcraft BBQ, will be on site serving up pizza and slow- smoked brisket with secret sauce. Raffle prizes will include a mountain cabin stay, a cooler filled with various spirits, and everybody’s favorite, a 50/50 drawing. The event will be at Troutman’s Chickadee Hill Farms.

Special packages are also available to purchase in advance. The “Date Night” package will provide two tickets and four drink tokens for $60 (a $10 discount.) The “VIP Package” is $100 and includes a ticket for entry, two drink tokens, two raffle tickets, a $15 food truck voucher, a special seating area with a dedicated bartender, and rocking chairs and Adirondack chairs provided. There are a limited number of seats available in the VIP section.

Blue Monday will transport you to the MTV era with their high-energy sound. Blue Monday’s love for music shines through every performance, and their dedication to their art has propelled them forward throughout the years.  bluemonday.net

The concert’s opener will feature the dynamic duo, Southern Style Band, with Crystal and Aaron McIntosh. Guests will enjoy everything from soulful blues to red dirt Texas country. Their music speaks to the soul, and guests are sure to feel the powerful vocals from their head to their toes.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit Pharos Parenting, a child abuse prevention center. Pharos has been teaching parents how to build stronger families since 1987. Each program is designed to promote positive parenting skills and safety for children. Fundraisers and donations make it possible for parent aides to serve clients at no cost to families, providing support and coaching 24/7 until they are confident and competent caregivers.
