Martin, who recently held the position of interim director of Planning & Community Development, will begin her role as Director immediately.

“The town’s future is in good hands with Erika in this role,” said Assistant Town Manager Sherisha Hills. “Erika’s professionalism, proactive approach to solving issues, her years of experience, and the respect she has from her staff and peers has proven to us that she has the fortitude and passion to help move our town forward in the right direction.”

Martin joined the Town of Mooresville in January of 2019 as a transportation planner. She then transitioned to assistant director of Planning & Community Development before taking on the duties of interim director. Martin holds a B.S. in Community and Regional Planning from Appalachian State University.
