The Town of Mooresville’s Community Relations Committee invites the public to participate in several events for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, including the annual Peace Walk and Breakfast planned for January 15.

Days of Service

This year’s events begin with three days of service at local organizations:

January 11: Day of Service at the Christian Mission, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
January 12: Day of Service at FeedNC; times vary
January 13: Day of Service for Mooresville Kindness Closet at Charles Mack Citizen Center; 9 to 11 a.m.
January 13: Day of Service at Upper Praise Ministries; 9 to 11 a.m.

Talent Show

Kids of all ages are encouraged to take part in the talent show on January 13 at the Charles Mack Citizen Center. The talent show is free to attend, and refreshments will be served. To enter the talent show, register at mooresvillenc.gov/news_detail_T4_R193.php.

Peace Walk

The annual Peace Walk will be on January 15 at 9:30 a.m. near the Charles Mack Citizen Center. All residents, business owners, and visitors are welcome to join the Peace Walk.

Annual Breakfast

The annual Breakfast at the Charles Mack Citizen Center will follow the walk at 10 a.m. Pastor Bill Russell Jr. is the keynote speaker this year. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Visit mooresvillenc.gov/MLKJr2024 to reserve your seat. Registration will close on January 12.
