A Troutman woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Sunday at the Sheetz store on Charlotte Highway in Troutman.

The Troutman Police Department reported the arrest of Kisha Dawn Terry, 43, of Overcash Road, in a news release.

On Sunday, TPD officers received a report that a woman was being treated at Iredell Memorial Hospital for a stab wound to the back, police said.

The victim told officers she had been stabbed during an altercation earlier in the day at the Sheetz store, according to the news release.

A TPD investigator responded and took over the investigation and identified Terry as the suspect, according to the news release.

A warrant was obtained for Terry’s arrest for the charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury.

Terry was located by Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies and taken into custody. She was taken before a magistrate, where she was ordered held without bond until her first court appearance.

The TPD expressed its gratitufe to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
