Three new Statesville Police Department officers were sworn in Tuesday morning during a ceremony in City Hall.

Mayor Costi Kutteh administered the oath of office and was joined by Police Chief David Onley, family members, and SPD personnel.

The new officers – Patrick Ferguson, Beau Estaya, and Jessie Beam – will begin their service to the community immediately.

“We’re proud to welcome these officers to the Statesville Police Department,” said Chief Onley. “Their commitment to serving and protecting our city is appreciated, and we look forward to supporting them as they begin their careers with us.”

The addition of these new officers supports the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and community engagement throughout Statesville.
