Mooresville Dog Mayor Annie poses for a photo with students at Pine Lake Prep.

Special to IFN

As the Town of Mooresville gears up for the annual Mooresville Day X Race City Festival, Dog Mayor Annie made special visits to local schools to help build excitement for the community celebration taking place on Saturday, May 9, in Downtown Mooresville.

In the days leading up to the festival, Annie visited Pine Lake Preparatory School, Coddle Creek Elementary School, and Parkview Elementary School, where she was warmly welcomed by students and staff. During her visits, Annie spent time meeting students, posing for photos, and helping spread the word about the upcoming festival.

Elected as Mooresville’s Dog Mayor, Annie serves as a community ambassador using her platform to engage residents of all ages. Annie also makes appearances at local events and will be in attendance at the Mooresville Day x Race City Festival.
