Troutman Fire & Rescue firefighters, along with West Iredell and Shepherds fire department personnel, responded to a report of a structure fire on Winchester Road about 5:07 a.m. Troutman Engine 1 was on the scene within minutes and reported two vehicles on fire next to the structure as well as a grass and woods fire. Firefighters extinguished the vehicle fires and the grass fire, which was a small distance from the original fire. The Fire Marshal’s Office was called to investigate the cause of the fires, which were deemed suspicious. The fire was placed under control at 5:27 a.m.
