The Iredell Council on Aging has received $2,553.98 through the 2025–2026 Subaru Share the Love Event in partnership with Meals on Wheels America.
The Subaru Share the Love Event is a nationwide campaign that supports local Meals on Wheels programs and the older adults they serve. This year, 320 Meals on Wheels organizations across the country participated in the initiative, including 16 organizations in North Carolina that collectively raised $40,863.66.
“These funds will directly support the older adults we serve throughout Iredell County,” said Jennifer Barraclough, executive director of the Iredell Council on Aging. “Through our Meals on Wheels program, we are able to provide not only nutritious meals, but also safety checks, social connection, and support that allows older adults to remain independent in their homes.”
The Iredell Council on Aging operates Meals on Wheels and senior nutrition programs throughout the county, serving hundreds of older adults each week through home-delivered and congregate meals.
The organization expressed gratitude to Subaru of America Inc. and Meals on Wheels America for their continued partnership and commitment to supporting older adults and local communities.
“Partnerships like this help ensure that no older adult feels forgotten,” Barraclough added. “We are incredibly thankful for the support.”
