The Mooresville Police Department, in partnership with the Exchange Club of Mooresville/Lake Norman, will hold its annual National Police Week Memorial Ceremony on Tuesday, May 12.
The ceremony, which starts at 9 a.m., will be held at MPD headquarters, located at 2847 Charlotte Highway in Mooresville.
During this ceremony, the MPD will formally dedicate the Mooresville Police Fallen Officer Memorial, which honors the enduring legacies of three Mooresville police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community: Chief James Earl Rimmer, Lt. Larry Vernon Barger and Officer Jordan Sheldon
The ceremony, which takes place during National Police Week (May 10-16), is open to the public.
