The First Presbyterian Church in Statesville will host a “Spring into Summer” featuring the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra Chamber Players on Friday, May 8. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, located at 125 N. Meeting Street in Statesville.

The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra Chamber Players will perform spring and summer movements from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons.” A pre-concert soiree will be held in the church courtyard at 6 p.m. featuring signature drinks and tapas provided by Crowning Events of the Historic Sharpe House. 

Tickets are $30, which includes the soiree and concert. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by contacting the church office at 704-873-7244.

The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra presents refined, stylistic, artistic and fun performances, engaging both the players and the listeners in the stories and historical context behind the music.

Proceeds from the concert will be awarded to Mitchell Community College’s Music Scholarship.
