A Charlotte man faces felony drug charges after being stopped for a traffic violation on Brawley School Road near Mooresville.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Andres Jimenez Juarez, 41, of Bellhaven Boulevard, Charlotte, in a news release.
Deputy C. Wilson, who is assigned to the ICSO Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team, conducted a traffic stop involving a Dodge Ram on Brawley School Road near Mallard Way on May 13. Juarez was operating the vehicle.
Canine Deputy J. Greene responded to assist with his canine partner Elio. During the investigation, Elio alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle, Campbell said.
Deputies then searched Juarez and the vehicle and found methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, according to the news release.
Juarez was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for a Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Juarez was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he appeared before Magistrate Thompson. Magistrate Thompson issued Juarez a $15,000 secured bond.
