Mr. Angelo Odell Westmoreland, 62, of Statesville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly in Statesville on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. He was born in Iredell County on October 12, 1957, and was the son of the late Ernest McGee and Phyllis Lorene Westmoreland Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Angelo Westmoreland.

He was a graduate of South Iredell High School and joined South Iredell AME Zion Church at an early age.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life two children, Torrey Odell Stockton of Statesville and Tshilanda R. Stockton of Wilkesboro; two brothers, Darryl Smith and Ernest McGee; grandchildren, Kiera Stockton, Rickia Phelps, Devin Bowman, Sharon Phelps, Tarri Stockton, Richard Phelps, Chance Jamison, Toray Stockton, Amya Flowers and Atavius Flowrs and Torrey Stockton; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend Bobbi Samuels will officiate. Members of the family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home, but will assemble at the residence of a cousins, Randy Miller, 318 Winston Avenue, Statesville, at other times.
