Angie Virginia Settlemyre Day, 78, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on January 25, 2020, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born February 5, 194, in Rowan County to the late James Settlemyre and Clara Beaver Settlemyre. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Myrtle Harkey and Mary Francis Settlemyre.

Angie was a head teller for Bank of America before her retirement. She was chosen to attend the 1996 Olympics as a teller support person representing the bank. She loved to cook, enjoyed visiting the Biltmore House in Asheville, flowers and listening to the birds sing. She loved to work the crossword puzzle every day. Angie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Day; children, Michael Day (Heidi) and Melanie Day; siblings, Clara Harris, James Settlemyre, and Lauren Rallis; grandchildren, Christian Day, Nolan Day, Courtney Ogle, Bailey Ogle and Cameron Ogle.

A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Dan Hazen officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the New Perth ARP Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Perth ARP Church, 204 West Avenue, P. O. Box 457, Troutman, NC 28166.
