Charles “Tony” Anthony Tudor, 72, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. Born March 5, 1948, in Webb City, Mo., he was the son of the late Charles Dorsey Tudor and Grace Elizabeth Walsh Tudor.

Tony grew up in Joplin, Mo., where good times were had. He was very active in the Boy Scouts with his father. Tony earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and his master’s degree from the University of Nebraska. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Tony was passionate about everything — especially his family and his job. Tony was an independent Physician’s Assistant-Certified. He served as a local Medical Examiner for 17 years with professionalism and compassion. Tony loved the mountains, computers and fixing everything. He absolutely loved cooking, especially with his son, Kevin.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Susan Leidig Tudor, whom he married May 1, 1993; his children, Kevin Christopher Sheil (Jaime Blazek) and their daughter, Savanna; Courtney Sheil Newsome (Cavan) and their children, Alex, Ben and Natalie; and Laurie Sheil Lyall (Joe) and their children, Andrew, Addie and Aiden; and his and Susan’s precious fur baby, Finn.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Tony at a later date when our community health concerns are lifted.
