Jerry “Craig” Ervin, 55, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on January 31, 2020, at his home. He was born September 19, 1964, in Statesville, N.C., to the late Lois Nell Waugh Ervin and Farris Ervin. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra “Debbie” Lane Ervin, and daughter, Morgan Ervin.

Craig proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of New Perth ARP Church in Troutman.

Craig is survived by his father, Farris Ervin (Joyce); brother, Scott Ervin (Becky); niece, Olivia Linderman (Matt); nephew, Seth Ervin (Janet); and great-nephews, Jack and Teddy.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, at 12 noon in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Olin Isenhour officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 250 Hudlow Road, Forest City, N.C.
