Mrs. Junnies Ree Cornelius McGee of Statesville, N.C., daughter of the late John Bristol Clemmons and Vera Bellamy, was born in Iredell County on June 17, 1948. She departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Saturn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, N.C., following an extended illness.

She was formerly married to James Arther (Catherine) McGee, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an uncle, J.C Carr.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life two sons, Timothy (Sherrie) McGee and James McGee Jr., both of Black Mountain, N.C.; three daughters, Cheri McGee of Statesville, Felita Dettle of Texas and Priscilla McGee (Reginald) of Winston-Salem; one sister, Pamela Lawrence of Statesville; one brother, Bristol Renard McDowell of Statesville; one uncle, John Carr; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 1 p.m. at The House of Prayer in Statesville, N.C.

There will be no public visitation. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. You can only enter the funeral with a funeral pass, which will be given to the family.
