Arnold Rome Clark, 84, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on October 29, 2021. He was born on June 20, 1937, in Mooresville to the late Lloyd and Pearl Brown Clark.

He dearly loved his God and his church, Mooresville First Wesleyan Church. Arnold was very well known by family and friends for the vegetable garden he raised every year. He was also a great storyteller and would keep everyone entertained with his tales from “back in the day.” When he was younger, Arnold loved to hunt small game. Arnold was also famous for his love of stray cats, to whom he always gave a home, and he named them all Buddy. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Clark; and sister, Mildred Alberty.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ellen Moore Clark; son, Todd Clark (Penny); daughter, Amy Martin (David); grandchildren, Megan Black (Tyler) and Andrew Martin; sister, Maxine Jackson; step-grandchildren, Scott Pillock (Kara), Kayla Pillock, Chris Pillock, and Hannah Owings (Andrew); and step-great grandchildren, Kassidy, Jasmine, Trent, Seth, and Easton.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville, N.C. The service will be officiated by Rev. Ron Haithcock.
